Bringing clarity to an overwhelmed mind in business and in life…

From the moment my siblings and I were born our dad was always on us in regard to how we speak and sometimes how we carry ourselves. It’s funny, even as I write this, my dad has said it, I have said it to my daughter, and I’ve heard countless other parents say, “One day you will thank me for this” and parents are right. And I will have to say that I actually did thank my dad.

See, our dad was and still is a self-made engineer, business consultant/coach, social entrepreneur, author, public speaker you name it he has or will be it. But the one thing that our father isn’t is a jack of all trades. Our dad’s love and passion is business, specifically applying the Kingdom of Heaven’s principles and laws into our everyday business. While he has had many accomplishments the message is clear and always the same; Run Your Race, Make an IMPACT, and your Business is a Kingdom Business.

With a father that has accomplished so much my siblings and I didn’t grow up like most of our friends and I can be almost 100% sure that is a true statement. Our dad was a very young dad and had to make a very swift transition from single life to family life. Yep, I decided to make my entrance into this world when my dad was a teenager, then followed by a couple of sisters and a brother. One of the biggest things our father made sure to instill into us outside of first having a clear and definite personal relationship with God (Yah) was to talk clearly. I will say that my dad and mom did a fantabulous job along with the help of Hooked on Phonics. When that Hooked on Phonics hit the shelves our father put us to mental work.

I know that most students look forward to summer vacation but that wasn’t always the case for us. Our summers were designed for us to mentally stay busy with the added typical chores like making our beds and helping to clean and pick up around the house. But Hooked on Phonics, followed by reading a few chapters in a book, and when our dad was in a great mood a book report was the real work. In all the guy had us continue school even when school was out. It wasn’t about being or staying busy but was about making sure me and my siblings minds were being stimulated with what our father thought was right for us. After all these years I am sure we can all say He was right.

All those summers of us practicing our pronunciation of word after word, followed by reading word after word, then writing word after word. Our summers were built around mental stimulation of Words. How to say them, how to correctly use them, how to recognize the difference in the context of a conversation and project the right pronunciation of said WORD. Word after word being projected out of our mouth and hand. All to come to the understanding later in life that our words are powerful and we were mentally being taught how to take control of our words. How to use and project our words the right way in order to not just talk clearly and proper but clearly deliver proper communication. Allow your clear communication to clear your path…
