Can Someone Answer Me?
Am I wasting my time? I had no idea, because for so long I only saw things in one point of view. Growing up you go through life hearing everyone else’s point of view on any situation which influenced your perspective. As time goes on you realize that even though some people might agree their point views could be a little different. Isn’t that what makes the world great, we are unique even down to how we perceive something from our point of view? After a while you start to gather different perspectives from different points of views together and spit out your own point of view and how you perceive the world. Along your life journey you will gather more points of views and fit them into your view of the world having the freedom to change your perspective at any time you choose. Doesn’t a person in a jail or in bondage still have the freedom to change their minds perspective anytime they want?
At anytime we have the freedom to choose how we perceive any situation. Many times the relationships in my life hit a bump in the road because of different points of views that lead to different perspectives. Sometimes those bumps would turn into a hill, and a few of them grew into mountains. There were some that grew into Mount Kilimanjaro, just building up pressure and all I wanted to do was keep that volcano dormant. I knew that one of the best ways was to stop perceiving the situation through my point of view. In the past my point of view would just start the blame game after I have failed, and the Mountain exploded with hot lava. I would go back to a friend and give them a piece of my mind. You told me to say it this way and now look where I am at back to nothing. With the friend replying, well I never told you to do that I just said it. That goes on back and forth until words are no longer spoken only feelings of frustration. Even thoughts spoken by others can become our own thoughts if we make them our own thoughts.
At some point I had to make a choice on who’s point of view I was going to start seeing the world through. I was seeing the world through my point of view, and it wasn’t that bad. I can either perceive the world as good or bad, and which ever one I choose my actions would follow. After some good situations turned out to not be the right choice who was I to blame, myself? I don’t know, am I wasting my time? The one question I couldn’t answer, can someone answer me? Whose point of view am I really seeing this world through as I am choosing good and not going anywhere? I hear this point of view and another and form it into my own. When the outcome is good it’s my thoughts, when its bad it’s their thoughts and I just did what they said. Even thoughts spoken by others can become our own thoughts if we make them our own thoughts.
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:3-6). It was time for me to choose right and stop thinking I was wasting time. In every situation (everything I did throughout the day) was to be right, trusting God and seeing His point of view to perceive every situation with love and faithfulness. Allowing His point of view and perspective to become mine, so that my thoughts and actions are coming from a heart and mind of love and faithfulness. Knowing that when I choose His Way the Right Way, my point of view and perspective would see every situation the right way.
