Smallest of Beauties…
Bringing clarity and visions to an overwhelmed mind in business and in life…
Some of the smallest activities can have the biggest impact allowing a team to see, feel, and continue towards success together...
Being comfortable in the “I don’t know” in front of the team has led to being more comfortable in the uncomfortable. As we move forward together it seems as if it’s the uncomfortable that is allowing the team to see, feel, and wanting to continue towards success together. These past few months has seen some heated conversations amongst individuals and departments. We are all still fairly new working together as we continue to add pieces that have years long experience mixed with brand new talent. With so many minds mixed with past experiences and some with no experience it’s easy to rely on the more past experienced minds to help quick start an idea. But what happens when the whole industry is changing as the world is changing? What happens when I don’t know is more in the minds? As scary as it might seem maybe that is a place where we will flourish.
“Commit thy way unto the Elohim; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.” (Psalm 37:5)
These past few months have been uncomfortable for the whole team. We have had to be more honest with ourselves than we have been wanting to be. It’s very uncomfortable being honest with yourself by verbally being honest in front of your entire team no matter what level you are at within your organization. These past few months has seen everyone within the team at some point admit “I don’t know”. But that “I don’t know” seems to empower someone else’s “I know”. Someone’s open humility expression of “I don’t know” is not just giving power but giving authority for someone’s “I know” to gain strength. In these past few months we have spent the last 10 minutes of meetings having an open dialogue as One Unit to address the “I knows”.
Taking the time to sit as a team and talk through our uncomfortable “I don’t know” so we can build strength of the “I know” has allowed the team to see, feel, and continue towards success together. The smallest act of being able to uncomfortably say “I don’t know”…
“Delight thyself also in the Elohim; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart (mind).” (Psalm 37:4)
