One of the best things you can do for your business life is to be alright with making adjustments. No, you didn’t fail or have some major set back. Well, maybe a little bit of a setback but that comes with the territory and is apart of life. Business life and life are both constantly changing and go through their own cycles. We have business cycles having us caught in the expansion and contraction of business life and life changing right along with it. I am sure you can search any search engine for the word adjustment and there will be a constant flow of new information. Yes, including this blog. For the past decade or so people have been making changes and or adjustments to their lives as business life has been on a constant change. My company Stop N’ Smell the Poop provides business consulting and coaching services and have to make adjustments in order to stay relevant and provide value as business and life almost change daily. It seems as if no one is exempt from these business changes because no one is exempt from anything that occurs on this earth. Those that make adjustments during the changes instead of changing with every direction of the wind tend to have a better chance of weathering whatever storm they face. No one is exempt from storms and/or changes but we are able to adjust our attitude into how one best views the changes brought on by business and life cycles.
I am not saying you will automatically make it through any storm just because you make one right adjustment in the right direction. I will say it gives one a better chance at surviving whatever storm may come someone’s way, but nothing is ever guaranteed. The right adjustment of attitude and belief are some key tools needed as we move forward in times that seem to keep moving forward at a faster pace than the previous year. Each new year use to bring new inventions, new ideas, new growth, and new declines. But as time or maybe its better we say as business is elevated with the help of technology things are changing daily. As we see and hear about jobs being replaced and maybe have witnessed it personally it is hard not to notice that changes aren’t here but have been here. But its not time to focus on the changes at hand but re-focus or better yet adjust the plan. Don’t change the foundation when it’s on a solid Rock (God (Yah)), but some adjustments might have to be made as opportunity is here, or some might call it crisis.
Believe in yourself, believe in the gifts and talents God has placed within you and you have worked out of you. As you believe in yourself and what value you bring to the table, then a matter of the right attitude adjustment during the opportunity may be the difference between walking through the opportunity or running through the crisis. In the moments that business cycles begin to affect our lives in such a matter as today its an attitude adjustment to walk through the opportunity that can be a beneficial moment to ones business life and life. Knowing that changes are here and are happening fast is a reason to slow down and begin to walk through your business and life. Being able to see things unfold that have and will create small little opportunities along the way. The opportunities that will help along the journey as you walk through the opportunity.
Now, when we see things such as they are seen right in front of our eyes we have the tendency to react fast and quick and before you know it there is a mob running. In times of crisis we begin to freak out and it becomes contagious throwing some of us off focus and having us run through the crisis. In the moments of crisis its not the adjustment in attitude that will satisfy the mind but a change no matter mental, physical, or both. In moments of crisis the overwhelming need for changes pushes our business life and life to an acceleration through the storm that pushes us past opportunities that would help us out in the long run. It’s not the crisis that has us running through It and past the opportunities but the reality of the thought. The thought that maybe all these changes are the answer to the business and life changes occurring right in front of my eyes…
A solid foundation never desires or seeks for change but adjust with the yearly or now daily changes of business life and life. When the gifts and talents provided by God are known and being exercised no changes will be able to detour one from their journey. It’s the right adjustments along His straight and narrow path that will walk us past all the right opportunities. But as I said before no one is exempt from business life and life changes. We aren’t perfect, I am not perfect but do desire to be in His perfect will. But honestly my road isn’t always straight but the right adjustment back to seeking The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness makes for great walks down opportunity lane.
