Take Root in Yourself.
I knew nothing was going to change until I was ready for change. Many times, in life the change we are waiting for is us. I realized that if I wanted things in my life to go the way they were supposed to go changes needed to happen. It wasn't a physical change that needed to happen, but a mental change. First, I needed to answer the call that God had for my life, and second, I needed to establish roots within myself. After accepting the call He had for my life I knew that I was going to need to do some self-inventory. For so many years the roots that I did have for myself were not grounded in good soil. Most of my roots were established in other people and things. I was so worried about what others thought of me, and worried that if I wasn't into this or that I wouldn't be able to have a connection. For many years I was just uprooting my own roots and replanting them here and there, never allowing my own roots to get grounded enough to bring forth life in myself.
I know we all have heard the saying you can't love someone else until you start to love yourself. That couldn't be truer of a saying, but still we don't take the time to let our own roots get grounded enough to birth the life out of us that is already there. For others to see the greatness within ourselves we must see our own greatness. A wonderful way to get it started is by getting oneself grounded in good soil or by reshaping the mindset into self-loving, and planting roots in our own soil and allow them to grow. We were all made in His image and our creator wants nothing more than for us to see the greatness that He put in each and every one of us. When we allow our roots to grow and bring forth life in ourselves in return, we then start to spread the life and love to others around us. When we have strong roots, we no longer worry about what others are saying or thinking, instead we start to focus more on how I can serve others with this love that is inside me. It's time we start to allow our own roots to grow so that we can focus on the positives of life.
