What You See is What You Get!!!!
I know many of us remember the famous slogan "I Wanna Be Like Mike". At that time and you can say even now who didn't want to be like Mike. Michael Jordan was and still is a very famous iconic figure not just in the US but around the whole World. Kids and adults both admired him and his gift on the court and his business excellence off the court. He was admired so much that even years after his playing days ended people are still comparing current basketball players to him. If you have watched The Last Dance or seen/read articles about Michael Jordan there wasn't much said about who he compared himself to. Michael Jordan was being himself and strived to be a better MJ today than he was yesterday. What you saw from him was what you get with no apologies. If we really wanted to be like Mike then why didn't we all try to just be ourselves?
One of the easiest things to do but also hard because of the society we live in is to choose to be yourself. How comfortable is it when you are around people that accept you for who you are? Then, why do we choose to be one way with a group of friends and another with another group? For years I fell into this category of being two different people depending on who I was around. It became tiring, and then I would start to question myself. Who am I? When I decided to make the right choice and choose to be who God made me to be I started to experience more peace. Have I lost some relationships along the way, Yes, but I also have gained more true relationships, which means much more to me. The people in your life, who are they experiencing?
