Preparation Management…
Bringing clarity to an overwhelmed mind…
For so long I thought I had it right, I was wrong, but I am not ashamed of it. Growing up as an athlete I really grew to love rest days. Those were the days our bodies finally got a breather to heal a few bumps and bruises. While I took those times to kick back and relax my body was at constant work. Working hard to repair those bumps and bruises so that they weren’t a focus come game time.
Those rest days not only helped to heal my body, but they also helped me to mentally keep going and not give up. Those rest days allowed me to be thankful for being able to play sports. Those rest days gave me time to reflect and appreciate my team and all the people that were involved in keeping everything running. As time passed, I have come to realize those rest days/preparation days were needed and needed to be managed properly in my life. Those rest/preparation days are days I need to re-set my mind and remember why I am doing this and remain thankful and faithful.
Life may beat us up but when we manage our rest/preparation time right we will be prepared for whatever comes our way. Life may beat us up but when we manage our rest/preparation time right we will be prepared for the surprise combos. Life may beat us up but when we manage our rest/preparation time right we will be prepared with the right support team. Life may beat us up but when we manage our rest/preparation time right we will be prepared for when victory is upon us.
