Accountability Partner

Outside of talking to God everyday I have found that having an accountability partner has been a major plus in my life.  This is a person that knows the blueprint plans to my purpose and is there to support me.  This person ensures that I stay on course so that I see the plan all the way through.  Do you have an accountability partner or someone that could be one for you?  It's not an easy decision to have someone in your life like that or for me it wasn't.  This person is someone that you have to be honest with and be vulnerable with.  They literally know every little detailed plan and they also know if you are following the blue print or not.  When you fall a little of course they are there to help guide you back on the right path.  But as I have trusted my accountability partner more during my journey I have come to realize they aren't there just to be your cheerleader.  Yes, they are there to cheer you on because they want to make sure you see your plans all the way through, but some conversations can be very honest.  Sometimes the honest conversations become a nice reality slap in the face.  Isn't someone who cares supposed to be like that, very honest and true with you?  My accountability partner and I have had some very honest and truthful conversations that if it wasn't for trust some words might have been said and that would have ended our friendship.  Now looking back at those conversations I am very thankful that someone is bold enough to tell me how it is and be real with me.

I am not perfect nor will I ever try to be perfect all I do is make sure that I am obedient to God and the purpose that he has for me.  I have days where I just don't feel like doing anything at all in regards to my life's work.  I get frustrated and have moments of anger because things aren't just going how I want them to go, but I have to remember it's not about Me it's about fulfilling my purpose and serving others.  That is when an accountability partner really comes in hand.  It's a person you can be vulnerable enough with them that you let down your guard and really let them know how you are doing.  To have someone like that in your corner is very special and important as you go through your journey.  You aren't perfect and everything doesn't always work out just how you planned it, but a solid accountability partner can be the missing piece to keeping you grounded and on track.
